Three Days of Spectacular Sights Await you When You Stay in Flagstaff Hotels

Flagstaff, Arizona is home to a wide variety of indoor and outdoor sights and activities. Staying at one of the many excellent Flagstaff hotels will give you a chance to rest and relax in between adventures.

Probably the most well-known and interesting sight in the area is the Grand Canyon, so that should be your day one destination. Located just 81 short miles from Flagstaff, this national park is a real treasure and something everyone should see at least once in his or her lifetime. Leave early in the morning, see all the canyon sights, and then return to one of the hotels in Flagstaff for a relaxing evening before your day two adventure. The Grand Canyon still welcomes close to 5 million visitors each and every year to gaze at the wondrous vistas, cliffs and valleys from the countless viewpoints. For those who thrive on excitement, a hike above the rim or a camping trip in the canyon would be welcome excursions.

On day two head just 30 miles south to the gorgeous red rocks of Sedona. Often referred to as “Red Rock Country,” Sedona is a beautiful destination virtually year-round. Whether you’re into history, archeology, arts and culture, shopping or the metaphysical, you can do it all in Sedona. The most popular red-rock monoliths include Coffeepot, Cathedral and Thunder Mountain. And, at the north end of the city you’ll find the breathtaking chasm knows as Oak Creek Canyon. Spend the day taking in all Sedona has to offer and then head back to Flagstaff in the early evening for dinner at one of the numerous downtown restaurants. Then, it’s off to bed at one of the beautiful Flagstaff hotels for some much needed sleep before your third and final day of sightseeing.

Your third day will be spent taking in all that Flagstaff has to offer so eat a good breakfast at your hotel before setting out. Leisurely wander the streets of downtown Flagstaff, stopping into the shops that catch your eye. Head over to the Museum of Northern Arizona to learn more about the land and people of the Colorado plateau. Visit the Riordan Mansion for a look at an example of arts and crafts architecture. Then, take to the Arizona skies with a visit to Lowell Observatory. Finally, wrap up your three-day adventure with a great meal at one of the area’s many restaurants, then retire to one of the quaint hotels in Flagstaff to rest once again.
