The most ancient colonial era styled complex that still survives in Hong Kong is the Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware. The complex for an extended period of time was used as the dwelling place of the Commander of the British Armed forces that resided in Hong Kong.

In earlier times Flagstaff House was named Headquarter House previous to 1932. The architect who designed the complex at the Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware is a highly argued topic.
